Take up the cause of the fatherless plead the case of the widow.īut those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength. My help comes from the Lord, the Maker of heaven and earth.
Sustain me, my God, according to your promise, and I will live do not let my hopes be dashed. My comfort in my suffering is this Your promise preserves my life. He heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds. The Lord watches over the foreigner and sustains the fatherless and the widow. When anxiety was great within me, your consolation brought me joy.īut the Lord has become my fortress, and my God the rock in whom I take refuge. The righteous will flourish like a palm tree, they will grow like a cedar of Lebanon. His faithfulness will be your shield and rampart.
He says, “Be still and know that I am God –“īut I am like an olive tree flourishing in the house of God I trust in God’s unfailing love for ever and ever.Ī Father to the fatherless, a defender of widows, is God in his holy dwelling. He defends the cause of the fatherless and the widow, and loves the foreigner residing among you, giving them food and clothing.īut now, Lord, what do I look for? My hope is in you. If you do and they cry out to me, I will certainly hear their cry. Our hope and prayer is that scripture will speak to you and inspire you like nothing else on earth can do.ĭo not take advantage of the widow or the fatherless.
